Songs to Soothe the Savage Child, the music.
My most popular album, so far. (Available on Itunes, and all the major online stores, including Rhapsody, Amazon, etc. (available for free at the moment via the Amiestreet site below...)
Canadian Sunshine, Christmas Music 2009, round 1 of 10 songs. Enjoy.
Canadian Sunshine/Campfire Christmas Music 2009, round 1 of 10 songs. Enjoy. Very draft stage, but that's the way it goes.
Here's a song, from an album I wrote tonight for some folks in the Frozen north, some facing seasonal depression, others facing cancer.
Last year, another friend died from it, finding out only a month before that his body was full of cancer. He was one of those obnoxiously cheerful people, sharing, giving, friendly, positive... a real saint, in every sense of the word. Salsa Fridays, well, have never been the same.
Naturally, we miss him, feel challenged by his example, and more than anything else, realize how hard it is to live that way, amid all the things that can, and sometimes do, discourage us, in the winters of our lives.
Ah, but now for some sunshine. Share it freely kids, but remember if you want to use it, sell it, etc. plz drop me a line, I'm easy, and would love to know what podcasts, or productions it's used in.
Enjoy!
Looks like I'll be posting it on Amiestreet :)

Adopting another child about ...now!
Adopting another child about ...now! Wish I could write more, but for a number of reasons, we can only share this is a child from foster care, older, and a boy. Again, I'd encourage everyone who can to consider adoption, & strongly to consider adopting older kids -- it's a great thing for you and them.
Here's the full video; raw & very blurry on purpose. www.pawswithacause.org

Adopting another child... things proceed.
Super busy.
Adopting another child... things proceed. The boys get along well -- and are learning something I need to learn as well -- like every human on the planet -- not to hold on to anger -- considering everything they do a good job. I wonder why it's harder for adults when I think about all the misery in the world, wars, and other fights of all kinds for various reasons.
One also reflects about their parents, one's own, and so many things in life when adopting.
Saw the movie UP, and loved it, and wept. So many absent fathers -- and conviction. Now, with our electronics, we can be physically present and mentally absent in ways that would have been impossible just 5 years ago, unknown 10 years ago, and unthinkable 15 years ago.
Mentally absent -- due to 100% work connectivity -- how is it different than a drinking problem?
Blogging about it make you feel guilty?
Email your friends -- or twitter about it -- why not stop and spend time with them -- because it feels ephemeral.
Guess what?!? It is -- all our works are, per a good book.
The burden is to choose the best each day, despite our feelings about the good.
It's all about the best vs. the good, and the urgent.
Here's the image -- enjoy!

Panasonic Gh1 -- the video is so much better, 60fps, etc. as well as 7 frames for HDR, or 3 :), and live view speeds... Yes, I've grown used to it.
Quick GH1 test- 720/60p slowed to 24p from Hunter Richards on Vimeo.

Jon Stewart on economy.
Stake of the Economy is like a large tree fallen in the forest, hanging on the stump and ready to crush people, or is it strong?
I want to be like Steve Carter, well, at least artistically -- when I grow up... he's got a 13 year lead :)

Entered the Change Contest, from the Casefoundation, as well as news about Thebatfry.com
Entered a contest... maybe I'll get in -- in any Case, kinda cool stuff...
http://www.casefoundation.org/ The contest... One thing I can see that's different between a lot of people on the list -- their changes are attitudes. Mine are actions that I can personally do -- it's our 4th dog to raise to help people, and this will be additional children that we will be helping (and they helping us) for the rest of our lives. I do think saving power, and conserving, recycling, etc. are all good -- but I want to do something now, hope for something, and spend my time, and take my money to make it happen. If you aren't ready to get out and do it... then... you are just talking about stuff. Do it. Better yet, do it, and keep doing it. The only reason I learned about this contest was I was subscribed to a business wire news service rss feed... :) Not because I was hunting contests :) I do like to see that Mr. Case and Mrs. Case have done some good stuff with the money they made from me -- yes, I used AOL for years. Scott C: Raise a puppy to help people in wheelchairs, hearing and seizures (www.pawswithacause.org) and Adopt some more children from the US foster care system. Write encouraging music@www.clousfamily.com & give the proceeds to help the Change. http://www.casefoundation.org/ I'll likely get kicked out because I'm to commercial (as if I've sold anything :) LOL. But after all, when it's really true... it doesn't matter if the world sees what you've done or not -- you just need to do it. The puppy dog has been sick for 3 days... and it's hard because I can't tell her why, nor can she tell me what's going on -- we just spend time comforting her and go on. I hope she'll be fully recovered and able to go to Washington DC if we win :)As highlighted in that most amazing Podcast, Thebatfry.com -- you can get the music for *free* via Amiestreet listed below. However, Amiestreet uses a shared revenue model -- once they have a song become popular, they charge a little bit -- MUCH less than Itunes... and if/when it makes $5 in sales... they actually pay me.... The win for you guys -- free music, or an entire album for a small fraction of the cost of buying it elsewhere -- so please keep this mind, we aren't doing a "Brad --bait and switch..." someone pays for the hosting sooner or later ;)
